Dan has said Liquid Swords and Beauty and The Beat by Edan are two of his favorite albums of all time . Ive gone and gotten both. Some great hip hop. The Edan album has him rapping over 60s psych samples, pretty cool.

I know I've posted about this band before, they're good friends of mine and their album is finally coming out June 29th on Teepee Records. The Main Street Gospel Love Will Have Her Revenge. Check them out!!!

The main street gospel guy has a voice that sounds very similar to Dan's I think. Not as good frankly, but still similar.

The Morning Benders have a few live videos up at Rolling Stone. I saw the ad in this month's issue, it reminded me to buy the CD to prepare for next week.. so far so good!

Richard Ashcroft, isn't he homeboy from the Verve? If so, I better tell my buddy, he loves the Verve and Richard Ashcroft( If he is the guy from the Verve). I dig the Verve in small doses.

TBK got me into an entire genre, hip hop. I really like the mid 90's east coast stuff.

yea he's the dude, bittersweet symphony still one of my favourite tracks of all time. and still think the stones where totally bang on for doin them so hard. as said in another thread, in hip hop is sampling... obviously in classic rock n roll its theft even though half their shit is "sampled" hypocrites lol

TBK didn't so much get me listening to him, but rather reminded me how much I like him - Mos Def. If you're digging late 90s rap, and haven't heard Black on Both Sides yet, check it out. Mos Def has been doing crossover rap/rock stuff for a long time.

Probably been mentioned, but I've been getting into Cadillac Sky, their latest album (produced by Dan) Letters in the Deep sounds like The Band with the harmonies from The Beach Boys. Pretty good stuff

Cadillac Sky provided my first interview for the blog, and I love Letters in the Deep. They're great guys and phenomenal musicians. Their live show is not to be missed.

I loove Letters in the Deep. It took my friend and I two hours and six simultaneous computers to get through the system to buy Mumford & Sons tickets a couple of weeks ago, yet I still didn't notice Cadillac Sky was opening til the tickets came in the mail. Double score!
