Does anyone else hate this song as much as me?

And it ain't because of the commercial. I hated it since first listen. And I don't usually "hate" songs. Sorry for being harsh like that, but it represents everything I dislike about music today. It sounds like the bullshit that almost every passing car spews out of its windows in my city.

Blakroc overall does suck, but that song in particular does have a catchy guitar riff though. I could hear that riff played out differently in a more Keys fashion and being kick ass. I also dig a few other tracks on there specifically for the riffs or the chorus hooks, but like you Mirby, I agree that overall Blakroc was lame as hell.

I still haven't given blackroc a full listen. I didn't like the little bit I had heard from it so I haven't given it a chance. I do like some hip hop/rap though. Cunninlynguists, Del The Funky Homosapien, Outkast, Ugk and Devin The Dude are some of my favorites.

I am a fan of some hip hop. Wu Tang , MF Doom , Edan , Mos Def. But for the most part I think Blakroc had a poor choice of MCs. I think NOE is terrible. He is as Mirby said whats wrong with music today. I think the song is cool when NOE isnt on it. Nicole Wray sings great! For the most part though I really enjoy Blakroc. Some great tracks on there. It may not be everyones favorite but if you read the interviews it had a great impact on TBK.

wow, lots of blakroc hate. say what you want about the MCs on the album (NOE sounds exactly like Jay-Z which is not good), but the production is beyond fantastic. if you think this sounds like the hip-hop spewing out of car windows in 2010 (it doesn't), you probably don't know hip-hop and therefore shouldn't talk shit. if anything the blakroc project makes me love the keys even more. shows how musically talented they really are, even beyond blues/rock. can't wait for a second blakroc album to be honest, and i'm glad nicole wray was brought in for backup vocals on the brothers album.

Nicole Wray was a great find! My major complaint with the MCs was with NOE. He did have much to "say" with his rhymes...same old thing about women and whatnot. Im very interested to see who the MCs will be on Blakroc 2. I'd like to see DOOM , Percee P , Vast Aire, Edan, Mr. Lif , and Guilty Simpson on it. Plus bring back Mos Def and anyone from Wu Tang they can get! Love the production on Blakroc and can hear a big influence of that on Brothers

With some better MCs, Blakroc would have been sick, but there were only a few tracks that I go back and listen to. If there were some more indie MCs on it, I think it would work better because the lyrics would actually have something to say and not be so cliche. I have always liked hip-hop done with a live band, and I think Dan and Pat layed down some good tracks.

Dude who the fuck are you that you think YOU know what's coming out of car windows where I live? Mr. Fucking I have 2 whole posts here. Thanks for your input but if you're so fucking hip hop then why don't you hip hop your ass outta here right back the way you came? I didn't like the album as a whole. Why do you care what I like? I didn't say that you should not like it, so wtf is the problem? Also, the production being good doesn't make it a good album. If I had some badass production on an album of me farting on a snare drum would you think it was good?

Well, looks like Mirb has made another friend here. Blakroc has it's issues. But there is alot of it i like. On the vista would have been epic if not for Mos Def's "total control" line at the end of it.

Are you the moderator? No? Shut the FUCK UP THEN! Christ I'm tired of seeing this to every newbie who pops up. No wonder we can't get more than 15 people talking on this forum. Same 15, same shit. Thanks CrookedBill for your input and I too don't think this sounds like modern hip-hop. Some, yes, most of the album is nothing like hip-hop.

FOCUS: How badass is it that Blakroc got picked, sold, whatever the fuck you wanna call it for a Apple product. (I'm not a big fan of Apple stuff but still sweet seeing how i didn't see any advertisement at all for the album)

Dude, that makes the song. Billy is my least favorite on the album, and he seems to be on all the best tracks. I'm surprised that Jim Jones ended up being one of the "better" MC's on the album... that's scary.
