Was wondering if any of you musical gurus could help me out. I am trying to locate a song I heard. Didn’t get the artist’s name, no song title either. I can only recall a snippet of the lyric that, unfortunately, contains an extraordinarily popular phrase: “We will not be moved.” Vocalist was female with a dark, smoky voice. Song a bit edgy / bluesy. Good guitar. Probably would be classified as “alternative.” Anyone have any idea what this might be?

Try "DNA" by the Kills. I'd post a vid, but I'm currently in the land of no audio.

Sorry for the double-post, but just testing my YouTube embedding skills. Worth checking out, Gary Clark Jr.

Okay. Apparently I have to amend my self perception; I do like "twang" but only when a select few is doin’ the twangin'.

For anyone who has not seen these...

Guys,
As with many of us, The Black Keys' have opened a giant window of musical exploration for me, helping me discover bands such as Radio Moscow, The Buffalo Killers, Patrick Sweany, Left Lane Cruiser, The Blackwater Fever, and The Black Diamond Heavies. I own most of these band's albums and am looking for new blues-rock type bands to explore/listen to. Any suggestions?

I'm going to add my own band in, because we just finished a record that was as much influenced by these forums as the BK. Crooked Saws

The former Mike Gray is more my flavor all around ... but the latter... is remarkable in his own way. Very talented.

Definitely something very Blue about these two Grays. ;-D

I caught Dead Sara late late late night. Was very impressed.

Fucking awesome! And we all know that I intensely dislike females on vocals (just my personal preference) - with a few rare exceptions. I think I found another exception. Will be checking out more of their stuff.
