Also Neil Young. And rumors of My Morning Jacket. Some other good rumors too but I don't recall...

Wakarusa, in the Ozarks, also just announced that TBK will be playing there.

hilarious

the bonnaroo festival website has used the black keys fan lounge twitter feed on the black keys official artist page

they could have at least used pat's. he and dan look very puzzled by it all in the photo

The Keys got a late night billing at Bonnaroo.

tbk are playing at the same time as the flaming lips who are performing dark side of the moon...why would bonnaroo do this to anyone?

So Keys fans will have a few less dirty hippies to be around during their set

I don't dig the flaming lips version of DSOTM, but I wouldn't mind hearing it performed live. With lots of drugs. LOTS of drugs.

PS- that is one of the many reasons I don't like festivals. You don't get to see this band AND that band AND this other band AND another band... you usually get to see this band OR that band OR the other band. OR you can wander from stage to stage but the sets are short and the stages are far from each other (with good reason) so it's more walking than music. I'm a grump.

My first time going to Bonnaroo, pretty excited, any tips (besides the obvious stuff like water etc)?

No siree. I've been 3 years in a row and that was enough for me. It's fun, but it's a bitch too. I love camping, but this is not camping. It's surviving. Here's some tips...

At night it gets chilly and very wet/humid and damp, make sure you bring a hoody or something and some pants. HOT during the day, but COLD at night.

Bring some good mud shoes/sandals. Chances are it will rain at some point and you'll be glad you have some muck boots/shoes.

Bring toilet paper and a small LED flashlight (keychain size is fine). The porta potties are bad enough during the day, but you NEED a light to use them at night.

Bring a poncho and/or garbage bags in case of rain. And you can sit on them when/if the ground is wet.

Bring water, and coolers, and remember you'll be waking up each morning and immediately going out to the nearest ice truck to buy bags of ice for your cooler (beer, water, food, perishables). Some folks I know brought a wagon for hauling ice, but that's a bit extreme.

There are watering holes/stations and you'll be making your way to them each morning to wash up and brush your teeth. If you bring a little extra water you can avoid these horrid horrid stink pools and the long lines of hippies that stand at them. Just use your extra water sparingly to wash up near your campsite.

SUNSCREEN and/or umbrella. Sun hat and something to cover the back of your neck.

Frisbee.

Dope.

Cash.

Condoms.
