...For the new Twilight movie...SIGH!
Then again, Wolfmother did a song for the Alice in Wonderland OST, and it was pretty epic, lets hope this follows suit. According to Play.com the release date is 07/06/2010, but i imagine it'll be online before then in some format.

Checked on Amazon, and the soundtrack is due to be released on 6/8/2010. They've done it, they've actually found a way to make me care about the release of something Twilight-related. I actually find this somewhat jaw-dropping...
"We run this shit like a Wendy's. We're open for breakfast every morning."

I'm pissed. I think this is so lame. Money is one thing, but I think this is totally sellin out. I love the Key's to death, my fav. band hands down, but this really rubs me the wrong way. I guess it's like what Dan sang in Blakroc, "If it don't make dollaz, then it don't make sense."

Was that before or after RZA said "I'm just big dick and big money"
Big studios will continue to use Black Keys songs in movies. They work REALLY WELL

No doubt Koolaid they do work well. But I'd prefer to hear good music (TBK) in the context of a good movie or movie series. They tend to go hand in hand.
If you are a big fan of Twilight I apologize.

I must admit, i thought Bon Iver sold out Biiiiiiiiiiiig time for the second movie, but in the end, it's a new song that we get to listen to, and it'll probably be decent.

How dare you offer the voice of reason!
"Since huge quantities of information can be computer-digitalized and transmitted, music researchers could, for example, swap records over the Net with "essentially perfect fidelity."

The voice of reason spoke up months ago. No one wanted to here it then.

Just read a blurb about the new Chop & Change song in Rolling Stone. It's from the article about the Twilight Soundtrack
""The Black Keys' grinding "Chop and Change," an outtake from their new Brothers album."
""...[these songs] are indicative of the third movie's vibe. New Moon was about about love lost""

I rummaged around the internet for a bit looking for Chop and Change reviews and I found these two lackluster blurbs from The Examiner and Twilight Source:
"The Black Keys' Chop and Change is very movement-oriented" -Examiner
"a Bluesy, Swanky Vibe" -Twilight Source

Wolfmother's song was titled "Fell Down a Hole" and the lyrics were all Alice related. You really want this to follow suit? Chop and Change containing lyrics about Edward, or whoever the fuck else character there is in the twilight series. Can you imagine

it would also be extremely confusing, not to mention beyond the realm of possibility

I once heard Paul Simon say the song he was "disappointed" (or something along those lines) in most was one he wrote for a commercial.

Well by the looks of cmc's post, Chop & Change was written for Brothers and not for Twilight. Twilight simple borrowed the outtake for its Soundtrack.
