I'm man enough to say it - the soundtrack is pretty good. It's a shame those two douchebags and the lifeless doll of a girl are staring at me on the top of the page.

I'm also man enough to say Chop and Change is one of the album's weaker tracks.

Just felt like I've heard it before, predictable, like I knew before I played it thats what it was going to be.

This is one of those tracks that would sound better if a few additional riffs were added and the song was a tad longer. I really like the slamming drum intro, but the the soft blues riff during the verse should have been followed up with a heavy distorted riff of some kind, sounding something like the heavy riff in Black Mud. As I was listening to the song, I was waiting for it to build up to something heavy, especially because the drums gave it that feel. I understand why this track was a Brothers outtake. In the end, its still a solid TBK song. It's definitely not bad by any means.

Yeah the vocals seemed like id heard them before...the delivery, the the lyrics. The Dead Weather song wasnt too strong either . And for people not loving the production of Brothers , the Dead Weather stuff doesnt sound too far off

I'm diggin' it as an outtake, I'll snag it on amazon when it launches. The quality on this stream is terrible though.

Yeah I think agree that the intro is solid. Pretty dark , creepy intro with the drums and the piano! Also you are right, the stream quality sucks

I liked this song. I wasn't blown away by it, but I think saying it's "one of the weaker tracks on the album" is too harsh... I mean there are some weak ass songs on there. A few tracks better than it, but I'd still put it in the top 5.

Kepnerb, to clarify an earlier statement:

The Bassline in "Hardtimes" from Blakroc IS the same riff as "Chop n Change" only in a different key.

I don't like that this happened.

Oh well. I guess it is theirs to use as they want.

I stand by it Dan. It's far from THE worst but it's not in the top half.

It just needs a bit more balls is all. Stream quality maybe? Dan needs to scream it out a bit more too i think. The groove is cool i'm diggin that.

So is it bad if i say I do like just about everything that The Black Key's have put out?

I like all the releases all the rare tracks, everything, there are some songs i like more than others but there are no songs that i would put down as i dislike them?

This is not a i wanna suck your but Black Keys thing i just genuinely like all the music?

Kepnerb is more of a jazz man too i'm assuming rather than a blues man? where as most of us are blues dudes?

P.S. I like that this song is sort of like here you go twilight have our leftover shit. Rather than stripping a good song off the album. This is still a good song but you can tell they didn't finish it off the same way that Brothers tracks did.

Shoot first. Ask questions later.
