I came across this video today via the black keys twitter. Dan does the chorus for Freddie and I think it sounds really good. Anyone know if he produced this as well? Not too familiar with Freddie (the third guy in the video to rap) but he sounds good and I like how he can change from slow flow to rapid fire and back again on a dime. It also seems like he doesn't have that annoying crossover pop instinct that many rappers today resort to just to sell a few bullshit albums and ringtones. Also check his song "the ghetto". Good song.

Brucini did a write up for this I think. I thought the raps were weak. The verse is amazing though

Bahaha I thought that Dan was actually going to make an appearance at about the second chorus, but it was just some white guy getting robbed.
Hahaaaaha only white person in the video gives up his wallet in five seconds, great cameo dude.
A guy I know is all about Freddie Gibbs and how he's the next big thing, I don't get why... Yet to be impressed, this is a pretty generic semi-inspired rhyme scheme.

I love this song. The production and, of course, Dan's contribution are beautiful, and Gibbs has an excellent sense of rhythm, which it seems like a lot of MCs today don't have. The raps are uneven, but I think that's a problem with most multi-MC joints.

YT recently did a week-long feature on Gibbs.
