I think they call it evolving. I've been wishing they would turn into something more than their earlier records for a long time (although I like the "old sound" too.) A band that does the same thing forever becomes really boring.

And the beard discussion (I can't believe there actually is/was one) come on. People change their appearance all the time, same thing as with the music itself. Whoever called it a "sellout" beard or whatever, have you looked the same for the last 5 years? If so...I'm sorry

Oddly enough, I'm right handed and I use the floor tom on the left too. I can't stand using my right foot. I just started to learn to play a week ago. I'm 26 and I feel like it's a really late start but it's always been a goal of mine, so better late than never.

My 8 yr old daughter is getting ready to start drum lessons in a few weeks. I'm buying her a kit from a family member. We are going to be one really loud and annoying house.

Make sure your sneaker laces, they get tied.

I recently bought a 18" Paiste 2002 crash, and now I'm looking for a pair of hi-hats... I've heard highly of Giant Beats, but I've never heard them live in front of me (I have the money right now, but I'm trying to disipline myself to not buy a expensive set until I'm really gigging)

Anyone have hi-hat recommendations to check out?
