Hm. Cool production and totally different.

This is clearly going in another direction. I can see why this could put many old fans off and probably gain them a lot of new ones.

We'll see what the future brings for the Black Keys. I'll stay with them and keep an open mind.

Wham bam, thank you m'am.

was about to say frankie valley n the seven seasons lol but unfortunately no i dnt recognise them off hand... ooh by the way listen to captain beefheart yellowbrick road and the beginning of that song i think is part of the inspiration of the album cover along with the earlier mentioned blues reference.

so anyone know if its a scoop or a leak? seems like its a proper deal to me. i reckon the song is groovy nowhere near as good as tighten up but still good. I'm not diggin the big radio edit over dan's voice though he's got a killer voice and i reckon he's doing the falsetto more than justice so i hope he's not trying to cover it with the effect cause it sounds sweet and he's got a killer voice and i hope i hear a version either live or just without the effect.

Shoot first. Ask questions later.

also if you can, get an EQ onto it. sounds a million times better than the version they've got gets the big fuzz guitar outta the back and into the front. sounds awesome on my third listen and the effect doesnt bother me as much. still would like to hear it clean. Its a very treble driven version they are giving ya.

This is what im talking about, the production is perfect! captures the energy and irresistable groove of their old stuff, aswell as the creativity of their new. I also think this is the best recording of Dans voice ever

I was one of the those guys pissed when i first heard Tighten Up. Then it grew on me. Then the video made me laugh. Then i really started to get it. Now this song. Again, first thought was "WTF" But i think i "get" what TBK are doing and am really pleased at the direction. I've never been more excited over an album before.

Focus: I just bought all the albums off TBK website last night, include Drummer) This is like CRACK.

Remember way back when Bob Dylan stopped doing folk music, went electric and got himself a backing band? Many of his fans hated him for it... at first. Classic case of the artist giving the fans what they needed, not what they wanted. You (we) are not in control here. Sit back and enjoy the ride.

Or open the door and jump out onto the freeway while we're doing 90. It's your call.

Seriously, what can't these guys do?! If you had described this song to me and told me that it was TBK, I would've just been confused. After hearing it, not only does it make total sense, but it kicks ass! Tighten Up caught me off guard, but I loved it as soon as I heard it, and this one is pretty much the same deal. The only thing that sucks is that it is going to be way harder to wait for May 18th now.
