"Here's another little tidbit for ya, if you whale on guitar (Rock Band)- does that mean you can pickup a real guitar and whale? Nope. Not at all. Completely different skill set. BUT I do believe the drum kit portion of the game does actually help drummers."

Beard Rock - 22 hours ago » I'm not being the "grammar police" but duuuuuuude it's WAIL, not whale. I'm only pointing this out because I got some great Moby Dick style imaginations going on. Jack White in a long pea coat having his crew "hoist some shit" and "swab the deck."

Sorry Beardo, I disagree with you.

Plus I equate "wailing" with crying and I equate "whaling" with killing huge mammals. Which would you rather do?

I guess if you played a real sad song you might wail on your guitar. But I would probably boo you or call you a sissy.

i think for a guitar it would be wail tbh. coz your makin that bitch scream. you dont excuse the pun "batter" a guitar... beat the shit out of a guitar like you do a drum kit. that link is just one douches opinion. none of it is fact. ;)i agree with whaling on drums or beating someone up though. We make guitars sing and scream and cry. we dont beat them up therefore wail!
