I want to get a peizo style pickup put in my acoustic but then have a normal magnetic style pickup probably something intended to sound P-90ish not necessarily the dog ear or soapbar shape but the P-90 sound installed as a neck pickup.

I want to be able to blend the two and seperate them by volume knobs for each ones.

Ideally i'd want
1. master volume
2. master tone
3. neck vol
4. bridge/piezo vol
5. blend

As stealth as possible for most of it, obviously a neck pickup is going to be noticable but most of the rest of it should be reasonable to hide prety well.

Ideas anyone? gear literate?

also would this setup then sound better through an acoustic amp or electric?

Shoot first. Ask questions later.

Doesn't the white Supro Dan is using for the Brothers stuff have this kind of setup? Some kind of acoustic-like pickup in the bridge (not bridge position, actually in the bridge), and then 2 magnetic pickups? Just wondering if that's your inspiration.

No no this is my thinking from finding out that John Butler of John Butler Trio fame, black rebel motorcycle club and I'm pretty sure Kurt cobain did it too. It's kind of an electric acoustic blend of sounds. Works quite well its kind of like how jack Johnson on his latest album has tracked 4 tracks of guitar so he'll play acoustic left right then electric left right sort of deal. It's like an overdub but you can play it live. Makes for an acoustic sound with a fat edgy electric style beef to it.

I thought dan was using bridge pickup on the supro most of the time? I know definitely on the howling for you lead bits he is.

Plus hollowbody = feedback = wild screeching extreme fuzz.
