http://www.amazon.de/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000B6AFTY/ref=ord_cart_shr

This is not listed on their website, is it even official? Is it a boot? Has anybody seen it? Is it good? Thanks for your help!

Wham bam, thank you m'am.

It's official. It's from a 2005 show in Australia. I personally like it better than the new one. Busted is just wild.

That I have no idea. I know it used to be for sale on their merch page but I guess they phased it out to promote the new one. Amazon US has it - http://www.amazon.com/Black-Keys-Live/dp/B000B6AFTY/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1259686327&sr=8-2&tag=fire-fox-20

I love the 2005 DVD and I prefer it to the Crystal Ballroom. I highly recommend it, great versions of early songs and a cool behind-the-scenes video as a special feature. Highlights for me are Hard Row, All Hands Against His Own, Busted, No Fun, and Heavy Soul.

I went down to local record store today and picked this one up. Really dig it. Strange to me to see them look so young.

I didn't care too much for the Crystal Ballroom DVD, but I took your guys words that this rocks and ordered it yesterday. Nothing like a live Key's show!(even if it's on DVD)

I wonder how come the Crystal Ballroom DVD doesn't get as much love as the Black Keys Live in Australia DVD?

I was at the Crystal Ballroom show in Portland. I was in the third row for a few songs, and then the crowd just got too wild and I had to retreat. So for me, the Crystal Ballroom DVD is a replay of what I missed when I was concentrating on not being shoved to the floor.

I too, prefer the Australian DVD over the Crystal Ballroom, but I guess the only reason I can come up with is that Dan and Pat just seem to be having so much fun on the earlier DVD.

What are your thoughts?

Rubber factory is my favorite black keys record and therefore inflicts a strong bias towards the '05 disc. Certain parts of the Crystal Ballroom show are fantastic, I really love Psychotic Girl and the A&R songs. I know they played another fave, Here I Am I Always Am, but it didn't make it onto the disc. The Ballroom DVD is beautifully shot, but ultimately the presence of favorite material determines the preferred DVD.

Got it yesterday. I like it. Cool song choices, and Dan without beard just looks cooler. But nobody's asking me anyway, so...

But you gotta note that the Crystal Ballroom DVD clearly has the way better mixing and sound in general. On the old DVD, everything sounds pretty thin. I think there's some strange compression thing going on. Everytime Dan plays an intro, the guitar sounds good, but as soon as Pat enters the guitar gets a good bit quiter. Still a pretty good show though, and the interview vids are cool as well.

My 2 sons (4 yrs & 2yrs) love both the DVD's. My oldest will sit down at his drum kit and play along and the youngest will use one of our guitar hero guitars to jam along. They make it about half way through on the Crystal Ball Room DVD. They've watched the Austraila DVD twice now and played all the way through. My oldest told me that one is his favorite. Don't know if that says anything about it or not, but thought I'd throw my childrens two cents in. They are die hard Keys fans.

Just sat and watched all of Live at the Crystal Ballroom. I've had it for awhile but always seemed to pick and choose what to listen to. Wow! that is excellent stuff. I didn't even know about the other live DVD. Damn Amazon takes all my money. I can't NOT buy it. uhhhh addiction

EDIT: I hope they make a new DVD too. ok. I'm done now.

EDIT DEUCE: I watched the live dvd at 7am. I am officially an addict.
