Word on the street today is The Black Keys are going to announce a summer tour of the USA beginning June 2 in Salt Lake City and will also go to Denver, Kansas City, Minneapolis and St. Louis

And there will also be a second show announced Central Park’s SummerStage on July 28.

But wait there's more...

Tickets go on sale Tuesday, March 30. Those who purchase presale tickets via http://www.theblackkeys.com will receive a special bundle including access to some song downloads

Apparently a full announcement will be made this Monday 29 March

Great news for those of you in the USA

Hopefully there's some similar initiatives for fans elsewhere in the world

I beleive they will be over seas in May for a bit based on the interview with Dan on the Zane Lowe show.

These, in my opinion, are not all the dates, and not even close for that matter. There are alot of empty days there. No way do they put all the promo and hype into this thing only to not tour the hell out of it. No need to panic, i'm sure more dates are forthcoming.

Looks like the bundle includes Tighten up and Next Girl. Should be a nice way to start my day tomorrow.

This just made my day, 2 shows in Minneapolis! Now I just need to decide if I'm going to go to both...

I went to two days in a row last year. It was the exact same set list. It was still cool because one was a theatre and one was a festival. But if its the same place, you may want to save your cash.

Yeah, I will most likely try to go to the first show. Thanks for the advice though, it is a good point that they haven't varied their set list much from night to night on past tours.

@YouEvil- Definitely go to both shows. Though you will more than likely see the same set list, there is still the chance one will be way better than the other. That was the case for me and the wife when we chose to hit both Agora shows in Cleveland last Jan. The 1st show was great, but the 2nd was far better (3rd best of the 9 Key's shows we've been to). The energy of Dan, Pat and the crowd was incredible. I still remember Dan and Pat finishing Same old thing to open the show and they looked at each other as the crowd roared and smiled like "holy shit!" From that point on you could see this wasn't an average show. Maybe you'll have the same thing happen. Point being, go to both!

The jury is still out, I haven't ruled out both yet. My wife will only go to one of them I'm sure, but I know plenty of people who'd tag along for part 2 if I did both. Last time we saw them at First Ave, they got through the first verse and chorus of the first song (Same Old Thing), and Dan's guitar started cutting out. Pat just keep the drum beat rolling while they changed it out (took about a minute) and then Dan came back in with "You got a callous heart" to start the second verse and everyone went apeshit. It was awesome, and I was able to get a copy of the show from someone who taped it. Every time I listen to that it reminds me of what a great show it was, and makes me think I should just do both. Maybe I'll see if the wife wants to make that a Father's Day present...

for the record, here's what the pre-sale ticket bundle includes - i didn't note the copy of Brothers previously

"Pre-sale tickets for the tour dates will go on sale Tuesday, March 30. Those who purchase pre-sale tickets through the band’s website, theblackkeys.com, will receive a special bundle, which includes a copy of Brothers (digital only or physical and digital, CD or vinyl) upon release. Additionally, pre-sale tickets will come with an instant download of two tracks from Brothers— Tighten Up and Next Girl.”
