I've been pondering what the new album will sound like for a while.
Consider Dan's solo stuff, Pat's Drummer album and Blakroc collaboration all having an influence and feeding into the trademark Black Keys sound.
More of the same or something that pushes the envelope?

I read in an interview that Dan said it would be heavier. That could mean a lot of things. All of which I think I will like.

I see where you are coming from but I hope it sounds like neither. I really hope it sounds like something we haven't heard before. Attack and Release was like that, I hope I get the same feeling from this one.

Muscle Shoals is the shit. Learned about it on The Drive By Truckers' Southern Rock Opera. Patterson Hood's father was the bass player on a lot of those famous recordings.

@brucini: How do you know that it was recorded at Muscle Shoals Sound Studio!? This is the official website with some interesting infos:

http://www.muscleshoalssound.org/

From the old forum the info goes:

They recorded about 15 songs in 10 days!

@Lenny0406 This is tweet i came across from a Deputy editor of Rolling Stone mag that I re-tweeted:
RT @brackettn: Patrick Carney played us a new Black Keys tune recorded at Muscle Shoals (bananas!) and stuff from their new "Blakroc"
