I've heard this is in the works, so who would you like to see on the album?

I've seen footage of The Cool Kids working on a track for the album on okayplayer.com. In an interview Dan said that they worked with Curren$y. Also, when asked who they wanted to work with, I think i remember Pat saying he would like to get Del Tha Funkee Homosapien involved. Im a huge fan of The Cool Kids and Del, so I'm stoked about those possibilities.

Some others that I think would be great are:

Mos Def and Talib Kweli (Blackstar)
Slug (Atmosphere)
Brother Ali - self proclaimed fan of TBK
Murs (Living Legends)
Outkast
De La Soul
Black Thought (The Roots)
Guru (Gangstarr)
Rakim

Also, any Wu members that would return would be excellent, and maybe an song with Tribe (not just Q-tip)

Hopefully this thread hasn't already been started somewhere else

DOOM and GZA would be awesome. More with Mos , RZA, and Raekwon. Basically anyone from the Wu Tang Clan would be awesome. Maybe Wu Tang vs The Black Keys as an album concept

The Roots. Kool Keith. Damian Jr Gong Marley.

There have been quite a few so-called "alternative" rappers mentioned here, and some of them are indeed great, great MC's. Some of my favourites. However, I think some would feel out of place on Blakroc 2.

One thing that I think should sorta be requisite for Blakroc, is that as an MC, you just have to be... tough, yknow? Not necessarily the showiest gangsta MC, but just.. a tough street rapper. Or maybe it's spelled T-U-F-F, like in the Outsiders. I dunno. Just seems like the raw vibe they seem to be going for calls for some rough, street-weary, veteran MC's. Even Q-Tip, one of my favourite MC's of all-time, felt like the fish out of water to me on Blakroc. Otherwise I think they did a really good job of assembling a solid crew of tough-sounding motherfuckers. I think my two favourites ended up being Jim Jones and NOE, two guys I had never even heard of before the album.

Anyways just my two cents. I'm just saying, even though I love guys like Aesop, Slug, Del, and say like, the J-5 camp, I don't think they would fit in well with the raw low-down-and-dirty vibe of Blakroc. Either way, I'm sure the Keys and MC Mogul Damon Dash assemble a great cast and make it work. Let's hear KRS-One on there!!!

This blood red ass don't smell so good...

Cunninlynguists. By far my favorite hip hop group. Their producer makes some unbelievably good music.
